Travel Industry Specialists
A case for Good Access.
With more than 50 million disabled people in Europe, the case for delivering accessible travel and tourism services is a compelling one. And given that most will travel with friends, family or companions, the actual size of this relatively untapped market is phenomenal.
We speak your language.
The Good Access UK team understand about developing and delivering travel services to disabled people. Between us we have more than 50 years industry experience, including the creation of one of the UK's leading specialist tour operators. Our DDA and disability awareness training programmes can therefore be tailored to meet the specific needs of tour operators, travel agents, airlines, airports, handling agents… in fact all leisure related services.
Our Travel Specialists:
Richard Thompson
Richard cut his teeth in the youth market with Club 18-30 and Buddies before moving into ski, schools and eventually setting up his own leisure businesses in Greece.
An accident in the French Alps, in which he sustained a spinal injury would lead Richard into the 'world of disability'. It was perhaps inevitable that the two elements would come together and in 1997, Accessible Travel was launched.
Working now as an independent consultant, Richard's knowledge of the 'disability market' is perhaps second to none.
Wendy Moore
Wendy is well known in the trade having spent 30 years running her own chain of retail agents before establishing a leading flight consolidation business. Having recently hung up her corporate hat, she has spent the past year 'educating' the retail trade about the merits and methods of servicing disabled customers. Wendy knows more than most about the opportunities which this market presents and looks forward to working with the industry as it addresses its obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act.
